Visit of the PAHSA by the prefectural body of the Agnéby-Tiassa region and Inauguration of a school infrastructure offered to the village of Singrobo.
Published on 31 Mar 2023

On Wednesday 29 March 2023, the prefectural body of the Agnéby-Tiassa region, composed of the prefects of the departments of Abgoville, Taabo, Tiassalé and Sikensi, visited the site of the Singrobo-Ahouaty Hydroelectric Development Project (PAHSA). This visit was led by Mr. Sihindou Coulibaly, prefect of the region, in order to assess the level of progress of the works.

It was therefore a solemn occasion for the project to reiterate its thanks to the prefectural authorities of the region for their effective support and involvement in the implementation of PAHSA activities.

This visit was enhanced by the inauguration of the school infrastructure donated by the project to the locality of Singrobo. This donation, consisting of a building with three classrooms, an office for the director, a block of four latrines and one hundred and fifty table-benches, is estimated at a total cost of more than thirty-seven million CFA francs (37,000,000 CFA).

Mr. Christophe Blairon, General Manager of Ivoire Hydro Energy (IHE), promoter of the project, said that this school infrastructure was built within the framework of the Community Development Plan (CDP), which is a programme designed to organise the implementation of development actions aimed at meeting basic collective needs.

To this end, works have been carried out in the four other localities in the project's direct area of influence, namely Ahouaty, N'dènou (right bank), Ahérémou 2 and Pacobo (left bank), including the supply of drinking water and the construction of a semi-detached villa for teachers.
