The IHE company has carried out comprehensive environmental and social studies in accordance with Ivorian legislation, the Operational Safeguards of the African Development Bank (AfDB) as well as the performance standards of the International Finance Corporation (IFC). These studies, led by international experts, include an Environmental and Social Impact Study (ESIA) as well as a Relocation Action Plan (PAR).
Themis is an independent electricity producer operating exclusively on the African continent and specializing in the development of renewable energy and natural gas projects. Based in Casablanca, Morocco, Themis is made up of an experienced and recognized team in Africa and has a 2,000 MW project pipeline under development. Themis’s flagship benchmark is the 80 MW thermal power plant in Rwanda which reached financial close in 2017 at a total project cost of US $ 350 million. “IHE Holding is a company with a specific vocation created in 2015 by Mr Ekolan Alain ETTY to hold the shares of the founding shareholders in the company IHE. Mr Etty has been an electrical engineer since 1981 and held the position of Deputy General Manager of the Compagnie Ivoirienne d'Electricité (CIE), a national electricity operator, between 1999 and 2005. He initiated the project in 2011 with a team of engineers with more than 27 years of experience in the electricity sector, particularly in hydroelectricity and the management of the production network in Côte d'Ivoire. Beyond his technical skills, Mr. Etty has proven managerial experience and excellent knowledge of the issues and challenges of the electricity market in West Africa.
