One of the major stages of the PAHSA is the tilting of the Bandama river. This involves changing the river from its right arm to its left arm. In accordance with the work schedule proposed by the EPC, this stage took place from 20/08 to 31/08/2023, with optimum safety conditions for personnel and equipment.

Phase 1 involved the construction of the following parts of the works: left bank dam, civil engineering works (plant, water intake, bottom drain and spillway), right bank dam "zone 1a", right bank dam "zone 1b", thanks to the fording of the Bandama river bed.

Phase 2, following the changeover, will see the construction of the "zone 2" right bank dam.
